Position Summary:

We are seeking an Oncology Sales Specialist who will report into the Regional Business Director. You will be the leader of your assigned territory in the commercialization of gedatolisib, poised to transform advanced breast cancer treatment with groundbreaking clinical data. You will manage a territory in the U.S. sales organization deploying innovative sales strategies and skilful execution, directly impacting patient lives by enhancing awareness, education, and patient access to a new and potentially life-changing therapy. As a territory manager, you will work with sales leadership and cross-functional partners to bring company strategy to life within the territory and with customers, positioning Celcuity at the forefront of breast cancer treatment. This role is a unique opportunity to bring a new and unique treatment to the breast cancer market, and to build a territory franchise that will make a significant market impact.

Working closely with Sales and Celcuity partners, your primary responsibility will be to develop a thorough understanding of your territory and the local market and develop business plans as a blueprint for effective territory execution, adoption and pull-through of gedatolisib therapy. You will collaborate with commercial and medical partners including Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Operations, and Medical Affairs to gain market insights, and to shape and execute territory strategies and tactics that drive the successful commercialization of gedatolisib.  As a member of the sales team, your work and success will be instrumental in helping Celcuity to achieve territory, regional and national revenue targets.  In addition, success will contribute directly to improving patient outcomes and expanding our impact in breast cancer and other potential areas of oncology.

Responsibilities:

Sales Execution, Organizational Development, and Leadership

Sales Planning and Execution:

  • Responsible for performance against sales targets in assigned territory.
  • Develop thoughtful territory account and business plans to implement sales strategies and tactics for gedatolisib to achieve or exceed revenue targets, working closely with sales leadership and commercial partners.
  • Identify and mitigate barriers to access directly and in partnership with appropriate commercial partners such as Market Access and Marketing.
  • Work compliantly with the Medical Science Liaison assigned to your region to help educate the local breast cancer community about gedatolisib science and to address clinical/medical inquiries.
  • Present gedatolisib in a professional, ethical, and compliant manner, helping customers understand the benefits and appropriate use of the product.
  • Utilize approved resources to build awareness of gedatolisib, and confidence in drug administration.
  • Develop strong and long-term relationships with customers in assigned accounts.
  • Represent Celcuity at Regional/Local medical conferences in order to maximize access to assigned health care professionals.
  • Manage resource utilization and maintain operating costs within budget.
  • Perform ad-hoc projects to support the business as requested.

  • Develop strong, collaborative business relationships across a matrix of functions within Celcuity, and with external partners. Collaborate and partner effectively with other commercial functions to serve the needs of customers and deliver against business objectives.
  • Develop, maintain, and cultivate strong internal and external relationships to enable appropriate, compliant business partnerships.
  • Represent Celcuity positively and professionally with customers, at company meetings, conferences and other functions.

Communication Excellence:

  • Utilize strong verbal and written communication skills to engage in fair-balanced clinical dialogue with customers, utilizing approved corporate, promotional and other resources.

Sales Support Infrastructure & Systems

Sales Force Systems and Training:

  • Work closely with Commercial Operations and other internal business partners to operationalize sales processes and infrastructure, including customer targeting, territory management, and territory strategy.
  • Complete all required clinical, disease state, and skill development training successfully and on-time to ensure expert knowledge and understanding of breast cancer, competitive landscape and products, and gedatolisib.

Market Analytics, Strategy Development, and Performance Management

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Collaborate with Commercial Leadership, Market Analytics, and Sales Operations to implement CRM, targeting databases, leads, and reporting systems to direct efforts and drive sales achievement.

Compliance, Accountability, and Patient Centricity

Regulatory and Ethical Compliance:

  • Uphold a deep commitment to fostering a culture of compliance and accountability by partnering with sales and company leadership, Legal, and Compliance to ensure that all sales activities are in full accordance with Celcuity and industry regulations.

Focus on Patients:

  • Maintain a strong focus on patient needs, demonstrating empathy and dedication to ensuring access to potentially life-changing therapies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. Scientific or business degree a plus.
  • Five plus (5+) years of sales or similar customer-facing experience such as key account management, market access, and thought leader engagement.
  • Three plus (3+) years of strong results-oriented sales performance in oncology biotech or pharmaceuticals.
  • Demonstrated consistent track record of success as a top sales performer.
  • Results-oriented and able to excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experienced selling scientifically innovative products involving multiple stakeholders buy-in to enable access.
  • Experienced selling in a competitive market.
  • Strong technical understanding and expertise in “Buy and Bill” along with medical benefit experience in oncology.

Preferred Experience:

  • Recent (within the last 10 years) experience in breast cancer.
  • Established relationships and access to breast cancer treaters and experts within the assigned territory.
  • Oncology branded drug launch experience.
  • Experienced in both small/emerging biopharma companies and mature, full-scale biopharma organizations.
  • Experienced in solid tumors versus hematology only.

A Phase 1b/2 clinical trial evaluating gedatolisib in combination with darolutamide in patients with metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer, is on-going.

For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $185,000-$215,000 DOE. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geography, qualifications, skills, and experience.

The successful candidate will be eligible for an annual performance incentive bonus and a new hire equity package. Celcuity also offers various benefits offerings, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) match, PTO, and paid holidays.
